Thursday, July 13th

  • PUBLIC & SEPARATE SCHOOL REUNION (Registration at Latchford Town Office or Museum)

9:00 a.m.

  • FISHING CONTEST OPENS (register Latchford Town Office for 8:00a.m.) Weigh in will be 12 to 4 p.m. at beach house
  • 50-50 DRAW (DAILY DRAW-9:00 p.m.)

1:00 p.m-8:00 p.m.

  • VENDOR’S MARKET OPEN-Community Centre (Young Living Team, Laura’s Honey Lozenges & Laura’s Bath Salts, Bridging the Gap, Anita ‘s Homemade Soap, Scentsy)
  • SILENT AUCTION (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)-Community Centre (Plenty of Items to bid on!)

1:30 p.m.

  • OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY-Latchford Control Dam (Everyone is welcome to join Major George Lefebvre & Councilors of Latchford with affiliates of the Latchford Dam project.  Join us at the new Dam site, and enjoy the beautiful view.

2:30 p.m.

  • RUBBER DUCK RACE (Ducks will be available for purchase $10 per duck at the Latchford Dam-on the day of the event or get your duck today (Only 600 ducks available). You can contact Perry Livingston at 705-676-2079 (ducks will be launched from the Latchford Dam at 2:30 p.m.  The duck that comes first will win $1000.00, the second duck to place will win $300.00, and the third duck to the finish line will win $200.00.

6:30 p.m.

  • MUSICAL JAM SESSION-OPEN MIC- ALL SINGERS, MUSICALLY INCLINED INDIVIDUALS ARE WELCOME! (Registration will take place 5:30 p.m. at the Beach Pavilion BRING ALONG YOUR LAWN CHAIR, BUG SPRAY, FAMILY & FRIENDS for an evening of local entertainment)
  • BEER TENT (Hosted by Cobalt Miner’s Tavern)-Age of majority (Beach Pavilion)

  • THREE ON THREE BASKETBALL at the waterfront/park area (Registration will take place at 9:00a.m. at the waterfront/park area)

  • HORSESHOES at Sgt. Aubrey Cosens V.C., Br 629, Royal Canadian Legion (Age of Majority)

4:30 p.m.-6:30p.m.

  • COLD BUFFET SUPPER at the Royal Canadian Legion $10.00 per adult,$ 6.00 per child. (Enjoy from a selection of delicious meats, fresh cut Vegetables, a variety of crisp salads, pasta salads, and a choice of desserts to choose from)

  • KARAOKE NIGHT at The Royal Canadian Legion (Age of Majority)
  • FREE FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT – Community Centre (Bring along your whole family to a night at the movies. We encourage you to come in your comfy pj’s, bring along a comfy blanket and nestle in to watch a great family movie. Popcorn, beverages, and treats will be available for purchase)

  • LATCHFORD COUNCIL BREAKFAST (Located at the Community Centre) Breakfast Includes: 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage links, home fries, 2 pieces of toast, hot beverage or orange juice Enjoy this delicious breakfast for only $7.50 per adult Breakfast Includes: 1 egg, 1 slice of bacon, 1 sausage link, home fries, 1 piece of toast, and orange juice. Enjoy a delicious breakfast $ 5.00 per child (12 and under)

  • FISHING CONTEST Continues (Register at Town Office 8 a.m.) Weigh in will be 12 to 4 p.m. at beach house

  • KIDS GAMES at Beach Front Kids from all ages are welcome to take part in all the Fantastic games for 4 fun hours. Games Include: three·legged race, egg toss, water balloon toss, sandcastle building, Canadian Flag drawing contest Donut eating contest, guess the jelly beans in a jar, Greasy watermelon races, sawdust loonie hunt, Scavenger hunt, frog jumping contest, baseball
  • LUMBERJACK  & JILL COMPETITION (Located at Bert Larose Ball Diamond)
    • Saw Cutting Competition-2 men, 2 women, or 1 man-1woman team to saw through the log with quickest time.
    • Log Toss Competition-best in men, best in women, and best in children division who can achieve the greatest distance.
    • Filling the Firebox Competition-2-person team effort Firewood pulled from a woodpile and neatly stacked in the woodbox. Quickest time with neatness will determine winners.

4:00 p.m.

  • LATCHFORD 110 ANNIVERSARY PARADE (Parade route will be along King Street-everyone is welcome)

5:00p.m.-7:00p.m.

  • BBQ SUPPER located at the beach Pavilion Enjoy a fresh bbq hamburger $4.00, hot dogs $2.00 FREE hotdogs for children 12 years of age or younger

8:00 p.m.

  • LATCHFORD 110 DANCE at the Community Centre put on by the volunteers of the Latchford Fire Department AGE OF MAJORITY

9:30 p.m.

  • LATCHFORD FIREWORKS will be held down at the beachfront. All motorists are asked to park along King Street Everyone is welcome, bring along your lawn chair, & bug spray. There will be plenty of room to sit and view the fireworks at the lakeside/park area.

 

Sunday July 16th

 

9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

  • BLUEBERRY PANCAKE BREAKFAST with Mayor George Lefebvre Breakfast will take place at the Latchford Royal Canadian Legion. $6.00 per plate a person (Enjoy delicious blueberry pancakes topped with butter & syrup. Enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee/tea, or juice with your meal.

11:00a.m.-12:30p.m.

  • POWERPOINT PRESENTATION on the DARBY MINE, THOMAS EDISON’S LATCHFORD VENTURE(Latchford Royal Canadian Legion)
