Ontario Parks in conjunction with Latchford Town Council and volunteers from Latchford and area, “Friends of Greenwood Park”, will be opening a Unique Park. The 465 hectare Park will be a Hub for Hikers. All campsites will be accessible only by foot or by boat. The Park is on the shores of Bay Lake in Latchford. There is easy access from Anima Nipissing Rd. at Highway 11, just three kilometers south of the Sgt. Aubrey Cousens VC Memorial Bridge where it crosses the “Dam Rapids” on the Montreal River. Parking will be provided at the entrance to the Park.

An open house was held October 21st, 2008 to provide the public with an opportunity to review and comment on the
Preliminary Management Statement for the park. The Town of Latchford is currently working with Ontario Park’s
to release the Final Management Statement. The park is scheduled to be open during the summer of 2009. |
