Assessments

Property assessments for the Town of Latchford are completed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), an independent organization responsible for assessing and classifying all properties in Ontario.

MPAC determines the value of your property based on factors such as:

  • Property size and location
  • Building size, age, and condition
  • Recent sales of similar properties in your area

This assessed value is used by the Town to calculate your property taxes.

It’s important for property owners to understand how their assessment works and how it impacts their taxes.
