The Town of Latchford is Planning for the Future!

The Town of Latchford is holding a Special Meeting of Council as part of the review of its Official Plan. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the revisions that are required to the current Official Plan, which was adopted in 1981. The Town is also preparing and implementing Zoning By-law as part of the project.

Why Review the Official Plan?

The Planning Act requires the Town to review its Official Plan periodically to ensure that it:

»  Conforms with applicable provincial plans;

»  Has regard to matters of provincial interest under Section 2 of the Planning Act; and

»  Is consistent with policy statements issued under Section 3(1) of the Planning Act.

Have Your Say!

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for input on issues and matters that members of the public believe should be considered as part of the Official Plan review and the preparation of the Zoning By-law.

Any person may participate in the public meeting and/or make written or oral representation with respect to the Official Plan or Zoning By-law. Any written submission, either in hard copy or electronic format, must be forwarded to the Town for receipt by Friday, October 9th, 2026. Please include your full name, address and telephone number.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of Latchford on any changes to the Official Plan resulting from the Official Plan review, you must make a written request to the contact below to be added to the interested parties list.

PUBLIC NOTICE

2026–2028 USER FEE BY-LAW

Please be advised that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Latchford will consider the proposed 2026–2028 User Fee By-law at its Regular Meeting of Council.

Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2026
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Community Hall

The proposed by-law establishes the fees and charges collected by the Town for various municipal services.

Sewer flushing began on Friday, September 11, and continued today, September 14.
